Meet Our Team
Dr. Ashley Bedarf
Medical Director
Originally from the great state of Massachusetts, Dr. Bedarf initially graduated the University of Massachusetts Amherst with her undergraduate degree in 2008, before moving to Ohio. It was at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2012. Following graduation, she practiced mixed animal medicine in Ohio for four years before returning to New England to be closer to her family.
Although she loved practicing large animal medicine, Dr. Bedarf missed home and now enjoys caring for dogs, cats, and the occasional pocket pet. She sees her role as two-fold: providing exceptional medical care while strengthening the bond between pets and the people who love them.
When she isn't caring for her patients, Dr. Bedarf enjoys spending time with her own cats, Fig and Atlas, who love to get into trouble! You can find her curled up with a good book, crafting, and spending quality time with family and friends. She also enjoys staying active outdoors and enjoys rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, or paddle boarding!
As of July 2026, Dr. Bedarf is excited to join the team at Newington Veterinary Clinic as Medical Director. She looks forward to continue building lasting relationships with clients and their pets, while continuing to uphold a high standard of compassionate, personalized veterinary care. With clear communication and compassion at the heart of her approach, she strives every client feels informed, supported, and confident in their pet's care.
